- Group and expense data: Groups you create or join, expenses you log, and settlement records.
- Device information: Device type, OS version, and push notification token (for delivering notifications).
- Usage data: App interactions used to improve the product (e.g., feature usage frequency).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the SplitSquad service.
- To send push notifications about group activity and expense updates.
- To send transactional emails (e.g., expense summaries, invitations).
- To improve the app's performance, stability, and features.
- To respond to support requests.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers who help operate our app:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud storage.
- OneSignal: Push notification delivery.
- Brevo: Transactional email delivery.
- Google AdMob: In-app advertising (anonymous ad identifiers only).
Each provider has their own privacy policy and data processing agreements in place.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@splitsquad.online. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access, HTTPS for all network communications, and secure credential handling. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Children's Privacy
SplitSquad is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
